Custom Solutions, A Burns Engineering Specialty
Even with an extensive selection of standard temperature sensors some applications are better suited to custom solutions. Burns Engineering offers in-house design and fabrication of custom temperature sensors. Our engineering team will work with you to design a sensor specific to your needs and our assembly team will build a sensor to those exact specifications. Because we are committed to our customers getting the right product for their application, we do not charge design fees for this service. Contact a specialist today info@burnsengineering.com
Examples of Custom Products

Multiple Element Sensors
Double or triple sensors are available in diameters down to 0.25". These specialty sensors are available in a wide variety of configurations. Multiple sensors enables multiple measurement devices to utilize the same space or hole in your process.

Underwater Sensor, with Guard Tube
Burns offers waterproof sensors and guard tubes to prevent accidental damage to the sensor while allowing water flow around the sensor.

Heavy Duty Sensors
Burns Engineering can supply-heavy duty versions of many of our sensors.

Non-Intrusive
Non-intrusive sensors measure the temperature inside of tubing without entering the process.

Special Thermowells
Thermowells help to protect the temperature sensor and your process by enabling the removal of the sensor without opening your process to potential leaks and contamination. Burns has the ability to custom design thermowells to suite your specific application.

Fast Response Sensor and Thermowell
Some applications require rapid temperature measurement. For those applications Burns produces fast response sensors and thermowells enabling the quickest possible reading.

Flush Mount Sensors for Vessels
Flush mount sensors are a great solution to temperature measurement for vessels. These sensors eliminate difficult to clean internal sensors and don't get in the way of mixing devices.
